President Rodrigo Duterte took a commercial flight for his trip from Davao City to Manila on Thursday night.
The photos shared by GMA News reporter Cedric Castillo on Twitter showed Duterte and Special Assistant to the President Secretary Christopher “Bong” Go were seated in one of the back rows of a Philippine Airlines flight. They booked economy seats for the trip.

This is Duterte’s first public outing since he led the Rizal Day commemoration rites in Luneta and visited bombing victims in Leyte on December 30, 2016.
Malacañang earlier said the President had a “quiet time” the past few days. He is scheduled to visit the Russian warships in Manila on Friday.
The President’s trip was not the first time he took a commercial flight. In July 2016, he took a PAL flight from Manila to Davao City. He even went through the usual security checks at the airport. — Trisha Macas/BAP, GMA News
